The Strazhitsa
(Strajitsa) municipality is located in North-Central
Bulgaria in Veliko Turnovo District. The
Municipality consists of 1 town (municipal
center Strazhitsa) and 21 villages. Strazhitsa
Municipality occupies part of the Fore-Balkan
and the Danubian Plain.
Many important communications of regional
and national significance pass through the
territory of the municipality. The railway
line Sofia-Gorna Oryahovitsa-Varna is of
national significance. Water resources are
from the rivers Stara Reka, Lefedja, Golyama
Reka, Kazaldere and Shipa, and also by 30
small lakes, the largest of which is Kazaldere.
